    Teeth Whitening

Advances in modern cosmetic dentistry have created many simple, non-invasive teeth whitening solutions.

Teeth whitening is a simple, non-invasive procedure, helping to brighten your teeth and rid your smile of any stains or discolorations. teeth whitening has helped thousands at A+Dentistry and millions across the country feel better about their teeth, smiles, and overall appearance.

Teeth whitening has become a part of routine dental care for millions of people. It is a simple way to adjust the color of a few, or all of your teeth. It’s important to note that teeth whitening is effective only when applied to natural tooth enamel. So if you have old crowns, implants, fillings, etc., it will be important to factor in the color and or shade of your restorations in order to match your natural teeth.

Many people choose to replace their out dated restorations with newer and whiter restorations and then whiten their natural teeth to the new, whiter, restorations.

Teeth whitening usually requires two visits. During your initial visit impressions (molds) will be made of your teeth to fabricate clear custom-made plastic trays that will be used during the self-application at home. During your second appointment, the trays will be tested for proper fit, and adjusted if necessary. After the trays are filled with the whitening gel they are worn twice a day for 30 minutes or overnight for a period as long as two weeks depending on the desired level of whitening.

Cosmetic dentists at A+Dentistry recommend that you consult with them to discuss the option of teeth whitening.

It is important to note that some people experience some tooth sensitivity during whitening. this is normal and typically subsides shortly after you have stopped bleaching.

    Dental Implants

Dental implants are now the best option to replace missing teeth. They are a much more natural looking and longer lasting than conventional bridges or partial dentures. Traditionally, missing teeth have been replaced with fixed bridgework or removable partial dentures with metal clips for retention. The fixed bridge option requires grinding of the adjacent teeth in order to place the fixed bridge. Dental Implants on the other hand, can be placed without touching the adjacent teeth.

A dental implant is a biocompatible, man-made substitute to replace missing tooth roots; it is usually made of a space-age alloy of titanium. Dental Implants come in various shapes and sizes to fit different situations. Most are cylinders placed into bone and allowed to heal undisturbed while bone heals around them, locking them in like an anchor. After a few months, the dental implants are used as a foundation for replacing missing teeth. Dental implants restore lost chewing ability, improve appearance, end embarrassment and give real self-confidence to patients who need them. They are a real breakthrough

Placing implants involves the surgical placement of a permanent titanium “screw” (fixture) into the space and then fitting a crown onto the “screw”. Dental Implants have the potential of looking much more natural than many fixed bridges, and they last longer.

Our doctors at A+Dentistry are certified professionals who have years of experience in Dental Implant placement and restoration.

    Porcelain Veneers

When your smile is disfigured by decay, abrasion, chipping or imperfect development, an option that you should consider is porcelain veneers.

If you've been searching for a dentist that focuses on veneers and cosmetic dentistry, then A+ Dentistry is for you. We are qualified cosmetic dentists who have helped many patients get the gleaming smile they've always wanted through veneers.

Porcelain Veneers are a thin, semi-translucent "shell", custom made to fit precisely over an existing tooth. Because veneers are stronger than simple bonding, they are also more resistant to stains and chipping. However, it is important to maintain regular oral hygiene and the visit the dentist regularly for routine cleaning and exams. Porcelain veneers are a more conservative alternative to dental crowns since they require less removal of the tooth's original surface. With porcelain veneers in place, cosmetic dentistry patients can expect straighter and whiter teeth.

    Following the Porcelain Veneers

If you grind or clench your teeth while you sleep, a mouth guard might be recommended to protect your teeth. Porcelain veneers are quite strong and can withstand considerable force when a patient bites down, but they may fracture or break if used inappropriately. Patients should therefore avoid hard or sharp foods such as biting ice, your fingernails or thread which cause undue stress. Dental veneers should be cared for in much the same way as normal teeth; this includes daily brushing, flossing, and periodic check-ups with a dentist. Given the proper care, porcelain veneers can preserve a smile for decades.

    White Fillings (Composite)

When teeth are damaged by decay, white fillings restore them back to their normal shape and function, and are a vital aspect of your overall oral health. If you have a tooth that requires a filling, our knowledgeable A+Dentistry dentists will remove the decayed material, clean the affected area and then fill the cavity with a white composite filling material, which is custom-made to the exact color of your teeth, creating a more natural appearance. This filling will help to prevent further decay by closing off any cracks where bacteria can enter and cause harm to the tooth.
